Community Participation - Budget Committee Volunteers Needed
The District is looking for volunteers to serve on the Budget Committee for Fiscal Year 2023/2024. Volunteers for this committee will serve a 3-year term from January 2023 through December 2026.
This committee meets once a year in April to review the annual budget prepared by the Budget Officer. Members are provided a copy of the drafted budget 2 weeks in advance of the meeting. They play a key role in maintaining the District’s fiscal responsibility by reviewing and recommending approval of expenditures and resource allocation plans.
The Budget Meeting will be held at the District office (it may be held virtually if COVID-19 protocols are still in place) and takes approximately 60-90 minutes. Committee members, working alongside the Board of Commissioners, will review and recommend the budget to be adopted at a Public Hearing held on June 6, 2022.
Those interested in serving are invited to contact the District office at 503.635.6041 by March 31st.
